Over 900 property owners took advantage of the prepayment option for the undergrounding assessment with $13 million collected. Residents interested in prepaying their assessment can do so up until when the Town issues long term general obligation bonds to fund the project. For more information, please email Steven Stern, Underground Utilities Project Manager at SStern@TownofPalmBeach.com.

The Town’s use of the LT1 Tariff for FPL LED street light replacements will save the Town $8,000 per pole over a 30-year period taking into account a 3% inflation rate.

Despite the impacts of Hurricane Irma, the construction managers for Phase 1 North and South report the project is on schedule with crews working on weekends to make up for lost time. Residents have participated in a series of monthly recurring community meetings with the construction crews to remain updated on the project.

A progress report for the Peer Review study of the Underground Utilities Master Plan is expected to be completed in late October for a presentation to Town Council in November.
