Town staff has been in close communication with other municipalities that have undergrounded or are in the process of undergrounding. The Project Engineer for undergrounding in the Town of Gulfstream made a presentation on their experiences with telecommunication companies undergrounding their utilities and steps the Town of Palm Beach can take to keep undergrounding on track and below budget. Between the Town Council, an engaged Underground Utilities Task Force and dedicated Town Staff, numerous benchmarks and oversight procedures have been put in place to minimize delays.
