Phase 2 North Overhead System Decommission is nearly complete – as of October 8, 2020. The images of the area below were taken along North Ocean Blvd and North Lake Way near Dolphin Road, Angler Ave and Seagate Rd.
From Esplanade Way to Ocean Terrace Florida Power & Light crews are working in the Phase 2 North area removing the overhead infrastructure inclusive of poles and wires. Work will continue though the month with completion expected in late October 2020.
Town Code of Ordinances, Chapter 106, Article IV, requires an application to abandon a public utility easement to be made in writing on an application form provided by the Town.
Phase 1 South Overhead System Decommission is now 100% complete – as of April 3, 2020. The images of the area below were taken in the Ibis Isle neighborhood and along South Ocean Blvd.
The undergrounding project continues to move forward. Town staff continue to work remotely with full access to IT resources, conducting internal design, construction reviews and property owner meetings using audio and web based conferencing services.
